Choosing the right dental software

Deciding to leave your existing practice management software is a big choice, but rest assure, Principle is here to help guide you through that transition. Step 1

Obtain data back up

Provide us with a data back up from your previous practice management software, or alternatively, give us remote access to your server so we can download the data for you. We will then begin your data migration into your customised Principle workspace.

Step 2

Customise your Principle workspace

You, along with a Customer Success Manager, will begin setting up your Principle workspace, customising it to your practice’s needs.

Step 3

Check your data

Using our migration checklist, you will go through your data, comparing it to some patient examples in your previous software. You will complete the required checks, provide any feedback, and then sign off on the migration.

Step 4

Start training

Online training materials including easy to follow tutorials are sent to your staff and a live session is conducted one week prior to launch. This ensures the learnings are fresh and your team feels confident and capable as close as possible to your launch date.

Step 5

Obtain final data back up 

On the final workday before launch, obtain most recent data back up from your previous practice management software, or alternatively provide us with remote access so we can download it for you. A developer will upload this into your live Principle workspace. To minimise any downtime, this will be done out of office hours and available the morning of your launch.

Step 6

Launch day and beyond

Your dedicated Customer Success Manager will be available for you before and after practice hours on your first day to ensure a smooth and positive launch. Post launch, feel secure knowing our highly trained customer success team are available to assist your team with any questions along the way. Plus access our growing library of video tutorials, training tours and help articles to top up your training whenever you need it.
